6. Determine an author’s point of view or purpose in a text in which the rhetoric is
particularly effective, analyzing how style and content contribute to the power,
persuasiveness, or beauty of the text.
In the speech " Aren't I a Women?" uses rhetoric and style, and contributes to the power of persuasiveness
In her opening paragraph the set of the tone for her speech is persuasiveness, because she is telling her speech to a group of slaves back then and telling them that its about time they get there freedom and that they are strong and don't need the help of anybody. Along while shes saying her speech she also has a tone of impassioned and confident. The effect on a rhetoric question that begins in the second paragraph of her speech is that shes answering her own question. Her appeal in each of the three central paragraphs at the beginning is that she is no different from anybody else. The effect of this would that there wouldn't be as much of a speech and we wouldn't be able to read her full story.
